Imago Dei (pronounced “eemogo day”) is a Latin phrase meaning “The Image of God.” We chose this name for our co-op to emphasize our belief that our children are made in God’s image. When Christ’s disciples asked Him about paying taxes to Caesar, He pointed to the image on the currency and instructed them, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto God that which is God’s.” Genesis 1:27 tells us, “God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” This underscores our responsibility to raise our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. It also affirms that Caesar, or the secular government, has no claim over them. We remain committed to supporting families in their God-given right to raise their children according to their Christian beliefs.

A home education co-op is a community of like-minded families who come together to support one another in our homeschooling journey. By sharing our unique skills, resources, and experiences, we create a richer educational environment for our children than we could on our own.
For our co-op to thrive, it’s important that every member plays an active role. While the coordinators help organize and schedule activities, the heart of the co-op lies in the collective effort of all our members. Together, we create something special that benefits all our families.
